Aaron Plotz, MS, LMHC
Founder, Stay Strong Counseling

•    Aaron is a dedicated mental health professional with a strong foundation in both the arts and behavioral sciences. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance with an emphasis in Percussion from the University of North Florida. Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Aaron later completed his Master of Science in General Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

•    Aaron brings a diverse and well-rounded clinical background to his work, having served in multiple mental health settings including Big Bear Behavioral Health and Spencer’s Dual Diagnosis Inpatient Facility. In 2021, he founded Stay Strong Counseling, a private practice committed to guiding individuals through healing and personal growth.

•    He has extensive experience supporting both veterans and civilians in overcoming trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger. Aaron utilizes a tailored, integrative approach, incorporating evidence-based therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Existential Therapy. His work centers on helping clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of empowerment.

•    Aaron is passionate about helping clients reframe unhelpful thought patterns, establish healthy boundaries, and develop effective coping strategies. His goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can rediscover their inner strength and face life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
