Who We Are
Aaron Plotz - MS, LMHC
- Aaron was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He received his BA in Music performance, emphasis Percussion from University of North Florida. He went on to receive his MS in General Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. He started his private practice Stay Strong Counseling, in 2021. Before that, he worked with several mental health clinics including Big Bear Behavioral Health and Spencer’s Dual Diagnosis in-patient facility. Aaron has experience helping veterans and civilians overcome their trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger. He implements a variety of therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, CBT, and Existentialism. Aaron creates an environment that facilitates self-awareness, resilience, and empowerment. He works with clients to identify, challenge, and reframe unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. Aaron strives to empower each client to recognize their inner strength to overcome the obstacles they are facing today by providing healthy coping mechanisms, grounding techniques, build communication skills, and learn to identify and set healthy boundaries.
